Youth Group Leaders,

We’re excited about our fall retreat and hope you will come and join us September 21 – 23, 2012.

The Speaker will be Sammy Rhodes, RUF minister at USC. Sammy is originally from Sumter, SC. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2002, then Reformed Theological Seminary (Charlotte) in 2006. He has been the Campus Minister at GSU since the Fall of 2006. He, his wife Alyssa, and their four children, Jayne Mac, Asher, Eloise, and Sadie now live in Columbia, SC. In the summer of 2011, Sammy was called by RUF to the University of South Carolina.

The Music and Worship Leader will be Brandon Auten. Brandon’s love for music began as a teenager and developed further throughout college and in his current job as worship leader. The opportunity to record culminated in his first project, ‘Homeward’. “I really wanted this project to be an expression of my personal faith and walk with Christ, and hopefully others would be able to look in and be helped in some way.”

Free t-shirts are available to all churches that register by September 7th. As a special activity this year, we will be going bowling on Saturday evening. On Saturday afternoon we will have the zip line, giant swing, and tournaments (basketball, Frisbee golf, soccer, etc.).

Please be sure to provide the appropriate male and female advisors for the male/female make-up of your church group. Bring your own linens! This means sheets or sleeping bags, pillows and towels.

Below you can download the schedule for the weekend, registration form, medical release form, a Bonclarken Release Form for any student or adult who wishes to participate in Bonclarkens’ adventure activities on Saturday afternoon, and a flyer for you to use for your own publicity.

Seminar topics will be available before the retreat. If you would like to receive a list of speaker/topics when it is available, please email Bonnie. This will give your students an opportunity to familiarize themselves with their choices before arriving at Bonclarken. There will also be a seminar for advisors.
